Product Description

The structure for marine loading arm AM64:

Marine Loading Arm Structure AM64

Marine loading arm is the special equipment for loading/unloading fluid materials crossing over the jetty and tanker, with swivel joints connecting pipelines, assisted by a supporting structure, including other accessories such as control systems.

Currently, the marine loading/unloading arms are available in several structural forms including AM61, AM62, AM63, and AM64 series. Depending on the physical and chemical features, temperature of the transmission medium, and specific requirements, these arms can be designed using carbon steel, stainless steel, or heat tracing materials.

Technical Capabilities:

  • Temperature Range: -196℃ to 250℃
  • Maximum Design Pressure: 10Mpa
  • Nominal Pipe Size: DN80 to DN600 (3" to 24")
  • Operating Modes: Manual or Electro-hydraulic control

The system is designed to move with the tanker within the normal drift range. It features a visual sound alarm device via a travel monitoring system to ensure safety if the tanker drifts beyond the specified operating scope.

AM62 Structural Features

In the AM62 model, a part of the product pipe provides support to the loading arm, while most weight and loads are supported by an independent body or auxiliary supporting organizations. The inner and outer arms share a single counterweight system. This mixed-mode support for single-tube loading arms is compactly structured and highly suitable for large-tonnage vessels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary applications of these marine loading arms?
They are specialized equipment used for the safe and efficient loading or unloading of fluid materials (liquids and gases) between jetties and tankers.
What temperature ranges can the equipment withstand?
The equipment is designed to operate in extreme conditions, with a temperature range from -196ºC to 250ºC, making it suitable for cryogenic materials like LNG.
What materials are used for the pipelines?
Depending on the medium and customer requirements, pipelines can be constructed from carbon steel, stainless steel, or feature heat tracing systems.
How is the loading arm operated?
Operation modes can be customized to either manual or electro-hydraulic control, depending on the arm's size, model, and specific load requirements.
Does the system include safety monitoring?
Yes, it can be equipped with a travel monitoring system and visual sound alarms that trigger if the tanker drifts beyond the safe operating range.
What sizes are available for the marine loading arms?
We offer a wide range of nominal pipe sizes from DN80 to DN600 (3" to 24"), with specific models reaching up to 30 inches.
